This week I participated in the making of a group art show with my fellow artists and students from SAIC.

Communication over the internet, the process, and conceptual approach to our online exhibition is the theme of the show.
This is a digital sculpture that was finalized as an illustration in Adobe Photoshop. It is a piece that came about from the discussions my fellow artists and I had through email. What I gained through this experience is how technology aids in the production of art. We post photos of our artwork and fabricate art in digital programs; technology is deeply ingrained in our lives. Metamorphosis embodies the merging of new technologies and fine art. This piece has the feeling of a traditional artwork, but is completely digital. The figure is transforming into bio-organic forms, the greenness references to nature.
